With Magnetic Gradient Tomography Method (MTM-G), this matter could be solved cooperatively as the technology works to help making critical decision by being able to provide the real condition of pipeline above or underground even without any contacts.
By measuring the magnetic field strength of a pipeline, MTM-G is able to locate stress concentration areas and tell the danger level at those locations.

Innovative Technology for Offshore and Onshore Pipeline Inspection
    • Detects and measures levels of stress
    • Work as the non-contact inspection
    • Defines the degree of danger
    • Defines features using stress i.e., crack-like defects, metal loss, weld anomaly geometry change, SDS, discontinuity

PRINCIPLE FEATURES OF MTM-G

    • Magnetic gradient measurements in 3D space

    • Gradient capabilities may potentially allow to increase the outstanding distance for up to 25 times of pipe diameter (25D)

    • For low (0) pressure (no flow) pipelines, survey can be performed with minimum POD at:
    : 80% at hoop stress criteria
    : 85% at longitudinal stress criteria
    : 95% at SDS criteria

    • Danger degree, F and Stress Concentration Factor, SCF will be provided based on failure criteria and anomaly
